How many treatments are needed?
The recommended initial cycle is 3–6 treatments at 4–6 week intervals. To maintain results, 1–2 maintenance treatments per year are recommended. The number of treatments is individually tailored to the client's scalp condition and goals.
How long does it take to see results?
The first changes can be observed within 1-3 months, for example, as a decrease in hair loss. A more visible increase in hair growth usually occurs within 4-7 months. The development of results depends on the cause of hair loss and the individual response.
Is the effect permanent?
Not completely. Hair loss can continue over time, so regular maintenance treatments every 4-12 months are recommended to maintain the results of the treatment.
How do PRP and PRF differ?
The Arthrex ACP® system used at Monary Clinic produces PRF-type plasma that preserves the fibrin structure and releases growth factors more slowly and for a longer period of time. This makes the treatment more effective and gentler than traditional PRP, which is prepared using a separation gel.
Is the treatment safe?
Yes. Since the treatment is based on the client's own blood, there is no risk of allergy. We use the CE-marked and medically approved Arthrex ACP system, which guarantees clean, gel-free and effective plasma production (PRF).
Does the treatment hurt?
The injections may feel mild, but the pain is usually minimal and temporary. We use the Ultim Injector or manual injection technique as needed, making the treatment as gentle as possible.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
PRP/PRF is suitable for women and men who suffer from:
• Thinning or thinning hair
• Slow or reduced hair growth
• Telogen effluvium
• Androgenic hair loss (Alopecia)
What are the barriers to treatment?
Treatment is not recommended if:
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are taking blood thinners without your doctor's permission
• You have an active infection or inflammation
• You have a bleeding disorder or poor blood clotting
• You have an autoimmune disease or a history of cancer
• You have chronic liver disease or hepatitis
Can the treatment be used preventively?
Yes. The earlier hair loss is detected and treatment is started, the better the results will be.
Can PRP/PRF treatment be combined with other treatments?
Yes. The treatment can be combined with, for example, LED light therapy, mesotherapy or nutrient ampoules – our expert will help you choose a safe combination.
